  Illustrator images

  How do I save/export artwork created in Illustrator for use in After Effects Comp without the background. Can i create alpha channel in AI or key out background in AE?

  if your ai artwork is not on a background (a rectangle with a fill color or something) then when you bring it into ae the non-vector areas should be transparent.
