  Video Blending.

  Is there A way to blend together two video files? (Like where you can make the same person on the screen twice.) And have the persons opacity still look a 100%? Such as when I use effects channel then blend the two people are visible but are about at 50% opacity.

  The easiest/fastest way to do this is to use a stationary camera and shoot the same scene twice with the person performing one role the first time through and the other role the second time through. Provided you have control of the lighting and you don’t move the camera there shouldn’t be noticeable differences between the backgrounds of either shot and they can be combined with a simple mask. You see this technique a lot in TV shows that don’t have time for costly alternatives.

  If the characters cross over one another it becomes more complicated and some serious roto (masking) work or green screening will be required.
