What is your codec of the clips and is the timeline rendered before exporting?

I use a number of cameras but in this case the entire podcast was shot with the HDV camera…..1080i 1440×1080 29.97. Most of the other shows use a combination of the iPhone 4 720P footage and the HDV camera. Just don’t remember it taking so long to render with the mixed footage. The timeline is already rendered.

What codec are you exporting to?

Also, what method are you using to export? Some methods will ignore your render files (from the timeline directly to Compressor) and re-render directly to your target codec, which can take much longer, but result in a cleaner encode.
