  Time Display Settings

  I understand how to switch from frames to seconds, but I am having trouble figuring out how to subdivide my seconds in my composition. My project is 10 seconds long, and I am only able to select one second on the mark in my timeline. How can I get the program to display different intervals such as x.1 seconds? When I scrub through it just snaps to each second and I have no way to place a keyframe at, say, 5.5 seconds.

  Did you try changing the settings in the composition settings? It might be in the After Effects settings.

  That will be based on your frame rate. For example, if your comp is 30 fps, 5.5 seconds will be 5 seconds and 15 frames.
