  File Maker and Cat DV

  Can I import Filemaker Pro info into CAT DV.

  We have logged all footage via Filemaker, we are considering implementing CATDV however I could not imagine having to reenter all that meta data for a 450 hour film.

  Yes, you can export in several formats out of Filemaker and import that into CatDV. (Sometimes a trip through Excel is nice to clean things up.)

  Tab Separated Text and XML both work.

  If you need to do this often, probably an XML with an XSLT to match CatDV’s import format is best.
