  resolve 11.1 workflow with 4k raw

  shooting bmpc 4k raw. open in resolve UHD project and do cc. want to export all files to then be edited in pp/ae cc. want to keep it 4k going into a 1080p timeline in pp/ae for re-framing.

  could someone recommend the right resolve export format?

  then once in pp/ae i can simply frame and re-size 4k clips to fit where i want then export my final 1080p file? TIA

  ps. fast 6 core windows machine with raid.

  On Mac I would recommend ProRes 422 HQ (depending on the footage matters). On PC you may want to run some test, but doesn’t Resolve 11 support the creation of ProRes files internally? Otherwise if you need a single file container, Cineform might be another option (at a price). If you can wait, AVID just announced DNxHR for the end of the year which will support 4K and above resolutions.
