Davinci Resolve GPU .. Need suggestions
my company ordered a new complete setup for a new workflow
included a mac pro machine for Color work Davinci Resolve Software4 PCI slot
1 ATI Radeon HD 5870 Graphics card
2 Deck link 3D extreme 4K
3 fiberchannel cardwe still have available slot
my question
what graphic card will be better if we add it and why ?
Note : total number of Auxiliary PCIe power connection is no more than 2 and no more one of these cards requires double-width sloti already had suggestion for Nvidia Quadro 4000 in the second slot
i also heard the denoiser in davinci resolve doesn’t work without Nvidia cardanybody recommend me whats really good to do ?

i would ditch ati and have 4000 as gui and 570 for gpu?
or have expander with 3x 680 😉

and Q4000 is also 2i wanna ask if i used ATI Radeon 5870 + Nvidia Q4000
and i install Cuda
will i lost the feature of denoise ?am really confused and i wanna know what is the best cards to have

GTX 570 or 680.forget the 2 aux , you need a Y-splitter and all is well.
Sure, it helps not to use the ATi cards are they are also power hungry.
I am running a Quadro 4000 and a GTX 470 for a year now without probs.
Are you building a home system ? Thats your aim then.

that the 570 and 4000 will be better than the ATI and the Q4000 ?and if i can’t cancel that order what will i do ?

Its professional workflow for production company we just need to run 4k media realtime through the SAN storage

So you need definitely external expander like cubix
BM suggests a lot different setup for that i think – linux i bet.
