  All Clips are being graded at once?!

  Hi there,

  I am wondering if you can help. I have an XML exported from FCP. My original FCP edit was a single file in which I created split edits across scene changes. (Yes I know Davinci can do this too but I decided to do it in FCP)

  I Open the XML in Davinci and the XML opens and loads correctly showing me all the split edits that I previously created. The problem is the following. When I grade one of my split clips it’s grading everything in the timeline with the same grade. How come?

  you have red box on every shot thumbnail yes ?

  if you have one media file then resolve sees it as one. just do batch copy or unlink and try to grade then.

  Margus has set you on the right course, but forgot to say; right click in the timeline where the thumbnails are, then you can select batch copy.

  This makes DaVinci treat every clip as individual clips.

  Thanks for the help all. I will try that tomorrow. When you do batch list or unlink does it copy media? Can I still re import the rendered files into fcp?

  The media does not change. It is mostly “virtual” in resolve.

  Hi all and thanks for the help.

  When I do batch copy… what is it copying media? the timeline? I can’t see where the copy is if there is a copy or is it doing something else?
