  FCP XML based on mov .. will it relink to r3d ?

  Hi there,

  ok, I admit this is the n00b post, but does anyone know what I have to tell the editor to deliver a working XML when they are editing from proxy files, but intent to do the grading from truncated r3d clips ?
  I have all the clips, and the edl they generated works fine.
  I just cant seem to make the XML work, but its probably me doing it wrong..
  Any kick start would be well appreciated 🙂

  Hi Sascha,

  Have you tried using the Assist using reel numbers from the source clip file path name option ?

  If you try that, add to the media pool as normal and then turn off auto import on the XML it works everytime for me.
