I have been trying to figure out how to get resolve UI to fit in my 17″ mac book pro display. I’ve searched around but no luck yet.

It must be simple something I’ve overlooked.

    Can anyone help out?

    Thanks
    Ryan

The Resolve GUI is designed to run at 1920×1200 resolution. A 17″ MacBook Pro should normally support that. Is your display resolution 1920×1200? If not, and it won’t run at that resolution, the next best alternative is to connect an external display that can run at that resolution.

    Hi Ryan,

Please download the DaVinci Resolve for Mac Configuration Guide and review the Building a Resolve MacBook Pro section. This section details the MacBook Pro models we have certified for use with Resolve and will hopefully answer most questions you might have about how to make Resolve correctly on your Mac.

Hey Ryan, You might want to try this work around if you really have to use it.

Hi I’m running my MBP 17″ @ 1920×1200 and I had been using my external monitor. All was running well, but now that I have unplugged the external monitor to work away from home, Resolve comes up with an error:

    “No CUDA acceleration hardware detected”.

When I plug my monitor back in, all is well.

How do I reconfigure my displays so Resolve will work solely on my MBP display?

    Thank you in advance!

In Mac Preferences, in Energy Saver:

If you have an “Automatic Graphics Switching” selection, make sure it is NOT checked.

If you have Graphics selections for “Better Battery Life” and “Higher Performance” make sure “Higher Performance” is selected.
