    Hello!
    I have a task where I need to create a number of different sequences of the reflection of a party-like atmosphere (Disco ball) on a flat wall (simple black solid)
    It’s not very complicated task but I don’t wanna be repetitive and thought of asking here for different ideas of achieving
    here are some refs of what I have in mind: (again, i aim only at the reflected light. not the ball itself)

    My method so far is;
    Rotating an inverted Grid. Offsetting it’s Position with time* and treating those rotated shapes with color\glow\glints (2 layer of different grids will sell the effect, a fractal will add some atmosphere)

    But my post here is to bring up other ways. There are many ways to get such effect…

    Thanks a bunch!
    Adam!

    You might want to look at this very very old tutorial. Using Projection Layers to create a gobos and projector type effects

    Completely different approach that might be worth checking out.
