When I export layers in photoshop using the “export layers to files” script it includes a serial number. Is there a way to use this script without adding the serial numbers?

good question, I remember running into this before.

Try imageready, I believe there was an option to use layer names.

If it does not let us know how you would want the files to be named,a s that might help locate a solution.

Either that or I downloaded on utility on the pc for file renaming that had more features than batch rename in bridge.

Thanks for responding. I work on CS3 and CS4, imageready is discontinued on those suites.

If I export the layers from photoshop I get a serial number as the prefix, I saw that I could rename in bridge but it doesn’t take off the serial number prefix.

    Any other thoughts? Thanks.
