    Hi

    — getting a problem with ram previews ( only does abot 40 frames then replays ) and renders crashing saying ‘raytracer failed to launch’

    .I have tested the graphics cards and cleared the caches……..

    …………………… anyone got any other ideas please ?

    Thanks for the reply but just sorted it — software incompatibility -lens flare plugin with moblur crashes my system.

    ……………………………… wot !………… no ray tracing in CC ???

    The ray tracer hasn’t been removed. It’s still around and still works.

    You’re right that the ray tracing renderer introduced in CS6 has reached a dead end, though, and that the C4D workflow is the way forward.

    You’re referring to C4D? It is a full 3D application, but it’s pretty friendly as far as 3D applications go.
