Alan,
When forums are turned off, the search engine does not search dead forums. One of these days when we have some time, we want to rewrite the search engine to search the dead forums. In the meantime, we leave forums like the now-defunct Pinnacle Commotion on, as it is the last place we know of online with a lot of content where users can find answers to legacy issues, etc. But Imagineer is not dead and there are answers to issues at the Imagineer site. We had very few posts in the Imagineer forum. To avoid confusion, we leave the forum off as we do not want people to find it and try to make posts to a dead forum.
Lastly, view our terms of service as to why commercial pronouncements to our forums disappear. It is covered in our policy statement found in our Code of Conduct at the bottom of every post, just below the posting buttons (and in our About Us section). We remove them as if we didn’t, every company with anything to sell would be posting our forums daily and there would be no end to the “specials” showing up with mind-numbing regularity.
Best regards,
Ron Lindeboom
