  • MP Rendering to image sequences ends early

AE CC 2014, OSX 10.8.3, iMac 16gb RAM
I have 30+ comps I need to render to SGI sequences.
With a non MP render it takes about 3mins but with MP on it takes about 1min15secs. Great!
    these are my MP settings:
    Installed RAM: 16gb
    RAM for other apps: 5gb
    Installed CPUs: 8
CPUs reserved for other apps: 4
RAM allocation per BKG CPU: 2gb
Actual CPUs that will be used: 4

Well, I tried to use BG render pro to render locally and then automatically copy to a server, but some of the sequences (1440fr) would end at random frames and move on to the next comp without any error message. This was no good so I tried rendering straight from the render que and get same results.
Out of 32 comps 5 would end after 300frames and move on to the next.
Any ideas why this is happening? Can adjusting my settings help? Is this a bug?
    Thanks for any insight.

Do those five comps have 300-frame work areas [link] set?
