  Visible line break characters in text string

  Hi all,

  In short:

  Is there a way to tell a text layer to write the sourceText with visible special characters (\r or \n for example)?

  The longer version:

  I’m building an essential graphics template for Premiere where calculations are made depending on the number of lines / line breaks in the essential graphics input fields for a text layer. All works fine in AE, but when using the template i Premiere some miscalculations occurs. I would think it has to do with hidden characters, probably line break characters, that messes things up.

  I need do debug this some way, and since I can’t cut & copy the text from Premiere into a text editor, I would like to add a “debug text layer” in the AE comp/template, with visible special characters. This is why I need a text layer that write the sourceText with visible special characters.
