  In After Effects Scripting, is there no MBasic-like “Record Script” option?

  MS Word has (for decades) featured MBasic macro “Record Macro” compilers that generate code for mouse-clicks made after you start Record Macro and before you click Stop Recording.

  Is there no similar mechanism in AE to help one build code a step at a time? Is there no third-party software for doing so?
