    Hi folks,

I’m about to start playing to see if I can get particles being pushed around by an object. My foundation is to see if there’s a way, in particular, to have a static particle field that gets knocked about when something flies through it. I’m going to try using a solid as a collision object, then move it in 3d space.

That’s the plan anyway, but I’m sure it’s not going to be as simple as that. So has anyone got any tips or ideas tat I can pick up on?

    Cheers,

    Moog

Particular + Newton – these examples should give you an idea.

Not as realistic as Newton, but if you just need particles to be pushed out of the way, you could try linking the position of the Spherical Force Field in Particular to the position of your other object. It’s a quck and easy way to make it look as though particles are reacting to something.
