Is there a way to batch render “Save Frame As”?

Every clip I produce I need a thumbnail like image to go with it. Usually I just hit “Save Frame As” before rendering.

In this instance I need to do this for several hundred clips. I know I can drag and drop all the comps to the render queue to batch produce the clips, now I need to find a way to batch render the thumbnails too?

There’s a script that will render still frames at every marker in the timeline – that might be your best bet,

    Render Frame at Markers script

Also, in case you don’t already know, the shortcut for “save frame as” is ctrl/cmd + shift + s.

You can set the default file type in Edit>Templates>Output Module>Frame Default.

Hey Ryan what did you end up learning here? I am in the same boat now and see that you dealt with this 2 years ago. What was your solution to batch the thumbnails?
