  • Is The HD-SDI of an HPX500 FULL HD?

Besides, 720p does the HD-SDI output of the HPX500 put out full HD 1920×1080 or is it limited to 1280×1080? If the latter, does a KiPro uprez it?

The signal coming out is full raster 1920×1080. Only the DVCPRO HD format is 1280×1080. If you send that signal to the KiPro, It’ll record full raster, 10 bit ProRes.

I believe the SD-HDI out of the HPX500 is 8-bit. The KiPro records it as 10-bit, but the 4:2:2 color space is what will count most for the keying you’re trying to do.
