  • Using VCR to transfer footage onto mini dv tape

Ok, here’s a Mac Guyver situation that I need confirmation on. My sister has ancient footage on VHS tape, can I use a VCR, connect it to my HVX 200 and record footage onto mini dv tape?

What cable from VCR to camera is needed?

I believe the wire from the VCR would be video output to Video input in camera. But can the HVX record footage that it isn’t optically recording?

Any ideas would greatly be appreciated.

The product page on Panasonic’s website states

    “• Composite input/output

    • S-Video input/output”

S-Video is higher quality than component… use what you got
