Small jumps while panning
Posted by Pipito on October 18, 2006 at 10:13 pmI just noticed that the panning clips that i shot today they all have a slightly jump in the video. I am shooting 1080i60 (Video Cam) with the OIS set on. Any ideas why this is happening? It never saw this with my 100A.
thanks,
felipe

October 19, 2006 at 12:42 amIf you are panning on a tripod, you will get those stabilizer “jumps” with the OIS on. Always shoot with it off for tripod shots.
Hope this helps. -

October 19, 2006 at 9:19 pmOk, i did that today and took care of the problem. Now, when i shoot with the OIS on it happens. You can see the sight jumps once in a while. So you guys are saying that this is normal? I never saw it on my 100A.
thanks,
felipe

October 20, 2006 at 2:54 pmHI,
It sounds as though you have the OIS on yet, you are on a tripod. This is not a good combo. Turn off the OIS while using a tripod.
