I just noticed that the panning clips that i shot today they all have a slightly jump in the video. I am shooting 1080i60 (Video Cam) with the OIS set on. Any ideas why this is happening? It never saw this with my 100A.

    thanks,

You need to turn the OIS off.

If you are panning on a tripod, you will get those stabilizer “jumps” with the OIS on. Always shoot with it off for tripod shots.
    Hope this helps.

Ok, i did that today and took care of the problem. Now, when i shoot with the OIS on it happens. You can see the sight jumps once in a while. So you guys are saying that this is normal? I never saw it on my 100A.

    thanks,

That’s what I’m seeing also, I see it sometimes with the camera mounted on my Steadicam Merlin. Guess we’ll start using the camera without OIS.

    HI,

It sounds as though you have the OIS on yet, you are on a tripod. This is not a good combo. Turn off the OIS while using a tripod.

i have done a series of tests with and without tripod with and without OIS. I tested with 2 similar cameras. I would let you know about the results.
