So today I shot my first 30 second spot and edited on the spot with my laptop and got Client approval. We shot up just about all of the 4 gig card. It was blinking 0 minutes left and we shot well into that minute.

Tonight I opened up the Capture scratch folder and grabed the files to back it up on a Data DVD for storage. After Draging the files over to Toast it said I was burnign 3.1 gigs to disc. I was sure it was going to be 3.9 gigs or even 4 gigs on the money. Do these cards use about 900 megs of space for formating the P2 cards?

    thanks.

O sorry, I shot it in 480 60i dcvpro50. So a full card is about 3.5 gigs with 500 megs for other stuff. I wonder if the 8 gig cards use 500 megs or a full gig for it’s formating stuff?

    Thanks again.
