I’m not aware of any official price protection- we’re not talking Best Buy here after all. But perhaps you can talk your dealer into something, so give them a call. If not chalk it up to the price of the bleeding edge.

You may be able to just return them for a refund – worth a try.

You got one of these Panny’s on order Noah???

Seriously, I feel poorly for the guys who just took delivery of the 8gb higher priced cards.

That’s a lot to leave on the table.

Geez Graeme. You’re sounding like an attorney.

    That’s my job. 🙂

Correct Noah, it’s not Bestbuy… This is in the professional realm and professional courtesy should be extended to card purchasers that are within 2-4 weeks. Woops, I think that makes all HVX owners qualify??

This product has been out for less than a month. Either Panasonic has had a major breakthrough that has significantly dropped the price, or they were trying really hard to gouge and figured out that people would not bite.

It’s got to be a record (even in the computer industry) to debut a product on Dec 31st and then drop the price by one third on January 31st. They should honour that price to anyone who baought since the release of the product because frankly, it’s just treating people with contempt.

    Very poor corporate behavior. SHAME!!!
