I saw that too but then I never use my deck for video monitoring.
for HDSDI out –why not use an AJA HD10a component to HDSDI converter.- the very same one everyone uses with the Cinealta;s and I bet you already have one.

My guess is that Panny is now able to deliver more hvx’s than there is demand (even their yield has gone through roof or pre-orders are now delivered). So it’s time to make more demand with price reduction.

Actually I use the Miranda DVC800 on my Cine Alta, which uses the propriatary 50 pin connector on the camera to route the analog hd signal, so it just wouldn’t be appropriate. The issue then becomes the ergonomics; how many cables and little adapters and power supplies must you cobble together to get a servicable operation?
