Can someone help me get the exact RGB value inside of that control? I can’t be dragging an eyedropper around till I find the right RGB. And then you have the option of entering in the % of RGB which makes no sense to me :_) thx!

Well, I figured out how add them to color picker as swatches, then drag the swatch to the control, but come on, I know what the numbers have to be!

Twirl open the controls next to each color swatch and you can enter your RGB values in the RGB fields.

Thanks, but those decimals, not RGB values. What do I have to do, break out a calculator? Huh?

[Jiggy Gaton] “What do I have to do, break out a calculator?”

    Yes.

And those are RGB values expressed on the scale of 0-1 rather than on the scale of 0-255. Doesn’t make them any less RGB values.

Ha! That’s apple for ya. I guess I’m not-converting-decimal-to-RGB right. Every single other tool I use allows me to enter in something (everything) other than decimal points, so matching colors is a pain… frig that dropper!

Why not click on the color search and enter the values in the color picker?

Thx Bret. But I don’t see that here screenshot2017-05-14at3.37.18pm.png

But I am over this. If you can’t enter in values directly, like you do in Photoshop (HSB, RGB, LAB, or CMKY), then I’ll use the chiclets, but what a pain to match my colors in Photoshop to Motion.

In your screenshot you can see there are 5 different ways to choose colors. You’re in chiclet mode. At the top of the color palette click the little rgb sliders icon. I believe you’ll also be able to enter hex values.
