Motion 5 fullscreen problem
Can anyone tell me how to get Motion 5 to go fullscreen using the F8 key?
It says in the settings that F8 is assigned to fullscreen but when I press it does nothing and makes that sound where you’ve pressed an unassigned key?
This works fine in Motion 4, is this a fix that needs addressing? -

I assume you are on a laptop, which means you need to hold down the fn key before pressing F8 – unless you go into System Prefs, keyboard, and check the “Use F1, F2, etc…” checkbox

Thanks for your effort Mark, unfortunately I have tried your suggestions and I still don’t know why this is not working?
The option is greyed out for some reason, and I only have one project open.
Not really impressed with Motion 5 so far and it’s looking like I will need to revert back to 4 :/

It’s not possible to have more than one project open with Motion 5. Are you sure you are using Motion 5? F8 should say “Player Mode”

Wow that is strange? Yep it sure is Motion 5…this is so bizarre!
I am running it on a MBP with Lion installed and everything is upnto date.

No way!
So I can’t get full screen preview with Lion? -
I believe it’s a bug – we discovered it during our training week before last. Another bug with Lion: in FCPX, if you apply a title, you can’t change its location in the Viewer.

Thanks Mark, I thought I was going crazy!!!
I really hope they sort that bug out ASAP, I have no choice but to re-install Motion 4 now :/
Pretty much wasted $50 so far…it’s very slow on my computer compared to M4, mainly due to it being only 16 or 32 bit only.
Sometimes software updates can be more of a down grade 🙁 -
Not being able to do full screen preview is forcing you back to M4?? Why?

I’ve devised a system that captures the fullscreen animation using another screen capture program and it is completely ruined if I can’t get the full screen view.
I will use Motion 5 for other projects.
