Using multi-channel files
I’m just making the switch over to Audition and can’t find the following in the help.
I do a lot of film work so I get multi-channel WAV files from production. When I drag them into a track, they show up as 6-channel files. How do I choose which channel to use?
I see that in the File Window I can extract mono files from the multi-channel wav, but that creates 6 separate files. With thousands of WAV files that just makes my project window even messier.
Is there a way to select in the multi-track editor window which channel to use? And even better, is there a way I can switch back and forth (say I start the mix with the boom on channel 1 and then later decide to switch to the lav on channel 3)?
Thanks.
