I’m trying to fix an area where a recording artist (singer)forgot the lyrics and faked it. Later in the song the singer got it right.

In edit view I want to cut and paste and being new to audition want to make sure I get it Right!

It appears that I should use the “replace” setting for paste which does not change the length of the song. The other settings seem to ad time.

    Am I correct?

    Is there a better way?

    Thanks

Personally I would edit this on the session side … Highlight the correct area right click on the first empty track below it do a mixdown of the selected area and then match it up to the area you want to replace … Once you have done that highlight the bad area and right click on it then cut … Don’t forget lock the new clip in time before you move it up ……… WILLIE

PS If you are looking for a “click of the mouse fix” you won’t find it if you want quality audio …
