PMW F3 + S-Log
From what I can gather, it will only available on dual link.
Is this true?

The S-Log feature will be available with the dual link firmware option. I believe it works with single link 4:2:2 also and it will require a 10 bit recorder to take advantage of S-Log.

Are you saying the S-Log and Dual Link options are bundled together, but can operate exclusively?
No S-Log available on SXS recording (just curious)?

Yes
8 bit won’t capture enough data so no SxS for S-log

Well, it’s a gamma curve. I understand why this wouldn’t be advisable in XDcam, but just wondering if it was possible.

I just took delivery of my F3 and I can’t wait for the upgraded firmware, and my friends from Convergent Design are working hard to make the Gemini 4:4:4 the best digital recording solution for the F3. S-Log will be a great new adventure.
