A frame in an image sequence
Hello!
I have imported a time-lapse image sequence (a few thousand JPEG images) into AE’s composition, during the preview I got an “unexpected end-of-file” error somewhere in the middle of the composition.
Usually, it is caused by the corrupted image.
I can’t find which image in the sequence causes the problem.
Although I can do a calculation base on the time line, it takes a bit of effort to do so.
Is there any smarter way to find it?

Ctrl+click (Windows) the timecode display on your timeline panel. This will switch it from timecode to absolute frames. Corrupt frame is usually +/- a frame or two from where it crashes.

This is the way I am doing.
The thing is, my sequence is not starting from 0

a little bit of calculation is needed (although I have done that already).If there is something like, when I stop at certain frame (or 1 frame before/after) of an image sequence, I can right-click and choose “Reveal this frame in Finder” will be perfect.
Maybe I should write to Adobe putting it as a request feature for image sequence.

You can change your composition’s starting frame in composition settings [link]. It won’t affect rendering at all, but you could use this to make your comp frame counter match your image sequence frame counter.
