  reflecting text/objects

  i have created some rather complex type containers in indesign, and need to reflect them across their vertical axis. Is there a way that i can do this without also reflecting the type they contain? Or, can i reflect both, and then reflect the type back so it is right-reading? Any thoughts?

  Is it possible to see an example of what you are trying/want to do?

  Can you send a copy of that page of your project so that I can see it?

  I think I know what you are trying to do but am still not 100% sure.

  Thanks for the response. i actually already worked around it. i couldn’t figure out how to do what i wanted, so i just recreated the type container as a shape, reflected that, then turned it into a type container. Took longer, since i had to do it a bunch of times

  You would have to convert the text to outlines, then use the flip horizontal command in the transform palette flyout menu.

  You can try fooling around with anchored objects, but I could not find anythnig there and converting to outlines seems to be the best solution(though I usually try to keep things editable whenever possible).
