Auto set duration of sequence equal to selected clip.
I’m looking for a way to do the following in After Effects 5.5:
– I’ve dragged a clip into the seq-thumb to create a new sequence using clip’s duration
– Using Alt+[ and Alt+] I’ve shortened my clip (adjusting the in/out points)(for example the clip was 30 seconds, and I’ve cut something from the start and something from the end, and now my clip is 20 seconds, having 5 seconds black at the beginning and the end of the sequence)
Is there a shortcut to set the sequence duration to the new clip duration. Or either equal to the start or end point of my clip.
I know how to do it manually, aligning my clip’s start point with the seq start (by pressing ‘[‘ while the clip is selected) and then use Cmd+K to set the duration to the clip’s end point. But I believe that’s way too many steps.
Isn’t there an easier way using shortcuts or creating shortcuts for this?
Or maybe something that comes close to this?thank you.
