  extend background-use clone stamp tool OR content aware scale in Photoshop

  Hi
  I have some footage that needs to be rotated slightly. As a result I have 1 side(right edge) that doesn’t extend to the edge of the frame.

  I believe I have 3 options to fix

  1-scale the entire image
  2-mask the area and use a clone stamp tool
  3- use content aware scale in photoshop, after first masking the area I don’t want to scale

  I’d prefere NOT to scale the entire image so this leaves me with options 2 and 3.

  Has anyone used Photoshop’s content aware scale with after effects footage?
  What are the pros and cons of this approach?

  Not seeing the image (post a still) makes it hard to tell if it will work or not, but have you thought of just using Motion Tile (or CC Repetile) to extend the footage to the edge?

  I would either use Motion Tile as Ted suggested, or use the Mesh Distort to do a non-linear stretch at the edge of the frame.
