    helos.

i have a video file that was encoded with blackmagics mjpeg codec. if i playback that file on a windows machine without any decklink hardware or codec installed it works, but is quite jerky.

therefore i installed the free blackmagic-codec 4.9 in the hope that playback would improve. but it doesn’t. directshow still seems to use its own built-in mjpg-decoder (which i can see using graphedit). am i missing something? shouldn’t directshow use the blackmagic-decoder when available and plaback the file smoothly even on machines without decklink hardware installed?

    thanks in advance for clarification.

Install latest drivers even if you dont have DL hardware in your machine.
