I’ve just set up a new Edit suite with Quad G5, Decklink ProHD and Multibridge. Everything works fine but I seem to be getting audio distortion and clicks and pops that sounds a bit like an audio word clock issue. I’m monitoring via the Phono out on the multibridge into the “tape in” (line level) on a Mackie VLZ

plug into the 1/4″ Line input (not XLR) on your VLZ, and you will have no distortion problems. Yes, you will have to spend $5.00 at Radio Shack, but what is more important – lunch, or no distortion?

Thanks, I’m plugged in to the tape in on the mackie which I’m sure is a line signal – I’m still getting what sounds like a word clock error even when nothing is playing and FCP isnt running- there’s a kind of static crackle. Ive isolated it to the multibridge as the sdi audio from the video monitor is clean – It’s just the multibridge! Is there a factory reset?

Im using decklink drivers 5.5.1 with OS 10.4.6 and qt 7.0.4 and multibridge utility 5.5.1

    Thanks

I think i have a similiar issue. A warbling distortion sound that comes and goes. I stop the playback and then it goes away, but comes back intermittently… Is this what you’re talking about or is yours constant.

And by the way, I don’t know how to solve this.

mine is constant and it is definitely a multibridge issue – Im replacing all my cabling tomorrow hoping that helps as Im using a couple of old SDI Cables! Interestingly it goes when I choose SDI
