  BMD SP & sync…

  Hi all, just popped in the BMD SP, wired it up w/ the UVW 1800P and, capture FINE but when playing back… no sync
  Where do I need to plug in the GENLOCK IN cable? I do not have a sync generator (I thouhgt I would not need it since all I have is 1 deck and 1 broadcast monitor…)

  Hi,

  Connect the Y-component output of the card to your deck’s REF IN, then take the loop out from the reference back into the deck’s Y-component inputs. That way, the deck can use use the video source as a sync reference. Remember to toggle the termination switch next to the connectors on the deck.

  thanks a lot for the info. here in the canary islands we dont have that many sources for technical input.
