Photoshop Live 3D Motion Blur
Posted by James Murphy on March 15, 2011 at 6:29 pmIs there a way to add motion blur to Photoshop Live 3D text animated in After Effects? The traditional method seems not to work.

first try applying it to the 3d layer itself, but you may need to apply it to an adjustment layer above the 3d layer… this of course means that you are applying the effect to all layers bellow it, and that can have a pretty severe impact on performance. the workaround for that would be precomping the 3d layer and the adjustment layer.

also, if the movement is pretty simple (say the object moves across the screen, or a simple rotation), then you could try something like directional blur, which would render significantly faster.
