  Black window of Death!

  I am running Panther (yeah I know…old school!) on a Dual G5 PowerPC.
  Upon booting up I get a black window telling me to reboot through the power button in several languages.

  And the fans are going berserk in the machine … sounding like rush hour at LAX!

  what gives?

  I have run Tech Tool Pro without much joy. Everything is healthy…

  That would be a kernel panic… and probably not a good one

  You’ll have to double check this but if I remember correctly kernel panics on startup usually mean bad ram…

  Run hardware test… and see…
