    Hey guys,

I imported an apple pro rez QT in after effects. The editor on the other end swears that it’s 10 bit. I just don’t see the full gamma range in after effects on my PC. Looks like a regular 8 bit file.

Changed my project settings from 8 bit to float.

Is the PC decoder for Apple Pro Res restricted to 8bit or something ?

    Thanks

    Benjamin

I believe Pro-Res in any flavor is always 10-bit.

    ProRes 4444 supports 12-bit video.
