  • confused about ntsc vs pal on DVD all region??

    hello..

Brought my film into DVD Studio Pro and had settings to Pal/secam (as i live in UK my video is 25fps pal.) Then i authored an all regions DVD.

If i want to show it to people who say they can play NTSC DVD, do i have to re-author with preferences set to NTSC?

Or do i actually have to go to After effects and rerender as 29.97fps and maybe even change the aspect ratio? 🙁 🙁 🙁

It’s a music video so sound synch is quite important. i don’t really understand what will happen to my frame rate and don’t particularly want it to change..

    confused..
thanks in advance for any clues people may have
    :S

In order to author an NTSC project in DVDSP, you need to use NTSC assets. It will not import PAL assets into a NTSC project (nor will it import NTSC into PAL). You can convert your assets using Compressor, or you can buy Nattress Standards converter (https://www.nattress.com/) for $100. Or you can take your PAL video to a service bureau to have it done with proper hardware, which will probably look much better.
