Index/List Option
Posted by Eric Santiago on November 25, 2018 at 12:19 amIs there an option in MC similar to FCPX Index window?
I have a mess of clips in a full feature and need to make a chronological list.Joseph Fulton replied 7 years, 5 months ago 4 Members · 8 Replies -

November 25, 2018 at 3:29 pmThere isn’t anything quite like what you see in FCPX, but Avid can generate various kinds of lists (pretty much all that are commonly used in motion picture post production) using the List Tool (older Avid versions have an EDL Manager and Film Scribe) Look at the various options and see if there is something that works for you.

November 26, 2018 at 2:43 pmWhat do you mean by “chronological” as it can be several different things:
- Sequence order by track
- Sequence order regardless of track
- By source and TOD order
Once that is clear we might have some suggestions.

Thanks, Michael.
Just timecode, nothing elaborate.
I will give the List Tools option a try. -

November 30, 2018 at 8:41 pmWould the “Show Reference Clips” in the Bin Display options help you?
Then you can export the Bin as an ALE and copy that into a word or excel program.
