  Annoyance: Match frame without pushing alt

  I have chosen Y for “match frame”, but match frame by default destroys the Mark In. If you push Alt with it, it leaves the Mark In unchanged.

  I would like Y to actually do Alt+Y “match frame without changing mark in”.

  Is that possible?

  Go into the COMMAND PALETTE, choose the OTHER tab. Now also map the OPTION key to the Y key…then it should do what you want. I do this with the C command. I don’t just want what I selected put in the clipboard, but I want it immediately put into the PREVIEW monitor. To do that you press ALT/OPTION-C. But I mapped OPT to C as well and now it does it with one push of the button.

  thanks, that’s great news, didn’t see this “add alt key” button in Other. But it doesn’t work for me (I am on PC), when I drag the Add Alt button to Y it doesn’t do anything…
