    hi

i am using Mediacomposer 6.5.3 running on OSX 10.7.5 with video and audio being output via a Bluefish Epoch card.

when loading a clip into the left player window i can´t hear any audio. as soon as it is edited into the timeline i can hear the audio.

    any ideas?

tried checking all setting but no luck yet : /

Set your audio output to stereo instead of direct out, unless you are configured to monitor more than 2 channels.

Not familiar with the Bluefish card, but I’d start looking there. Does it have a control panel like the AJA or Blaxkmagic cards do?

so checked again and the problem only occurs when i import music from mp3 source.

it just won´t play the audio (though the internal meter is showing signal) in the source window when the bluefish hardware is enabled.

    any other ideas?

Try checking to make sure your import settings are converting the sample rate to your project setting (probably 48k).
    Many mp3 files are 44.1.
