I AMA linked to 29.97 in a 59.94 project, transoded and converted, edited and later deleted to save space – 10 videos about an hour each. Now I must make changes. If I go to Batch Import and point to the original files … well import is sooo slow!

Can I relink AMA, retranscode/convert, then relink my “.new.01” files used in sequences to the “.new.02” MXF files so they will refresh inside sequences? Is there another way to approach this?

    Thanks, rb

Clarification: “Can I relink AMA, retranscode/convert” – means, can I AMA link as before then transcode/convert which should create “.new.02” files – can I then re-establish a link so my “.new.01” media in sequences are online?

    Ricky,

If you haven’t figured it out yet the answer is yes. As long as the new files have the same tape name and starting time codes relinking should go smoothly.

Yes, Thank you John – I should have posted the update – it was very fast and everything came online and refreshed/relinked flawlessly.
