  Is there a way to map the audio with the keyboard?

  It would be a pretty elaborate keyboard map that could have a button for each possiblility.

  1-1
  1-2
  1-3
  1-4….
  16-1
  16-2
  16-3

  oooh, cool! Didn’t know you could do that.

  Often, I need to link 3-1 because it’s synced audio. How do you do that in Command Palette?

  Looking at it now but I only see the tracks, not mapping.

  So I would like to map the audio from the source to the audio in the sequence without using my mouse (click and drag)…

  For example, in FCP, you press AUDIO 1 then AUDIO 2 right after and it maps AUDIO 1 from the source to AUDIO 2 in the timeline.

  Ha! looks like I got my answer. If I’m in the source, the audio track buttons work for the source and same for the sequence. By switching from source to sequence it maps the tracks just with the keyboard.

  I think you misunderstood my answer. Point is that if you could do that kind of mapping, you would have to be a rocket scientist to memorize each possible combination.

  just turn on auto patch on your timeline settings. Avid usually does a good job for figuring out the basic patches.
