    Hi all,
I know this has been discussed before but I’ve searched everywhere and can’t get a straight answer.

I’m using nanoflash with over-cranking to make 720p50 from ex3 into 720p25 slowmo. Avid won’t import these mxf files. It says ‘unrecognized resolution’ but AMA link does work, up to a point.

Sometimes it gives an error a refuses to link to a file, sometimes it cuts it short, sometimes it displays a different file.

Does anyone know how to get avid to import these files so they work properly?

    Thanks

I never got it to work. Officially Avid don’t support these files, Sometimes the Nanoflash obviously creates them in a way that Avid doesn’t like.

I got round it in the end by bringing the files into another program and converting to another codec. Autodesk smoke is ideal as it can uprez to 1080p and retain a stunning amount of quality. But if you can’t access a smoke there are other packages that’ll do this too.

    Cheers
