you know how you can type in numbers like 01:00:00:00 to make the timeline playhead jump to that part onthe timeline?

well, mine does not work anymore. I type in the numbers and nothign happens just a BEEP sound.

    how do i fix?

    Do you have Numlock on?

Also, do you have Timecode displayed on your Source/Record monitors? If you have I/O or Duration or anything other than Timecode as the top display it doesn’t work.

    THAT’S IT.
I HAD MY IN/OUT DISPLAYED ABOVE MY TIMECODE ON THE COMPOSER MONITOR.
SWITCHED THEM AND NOW IT WORKS.

Here’s another tip. You don’t need to enter the hour if you are within the same hour. In other words, if you want to jump to 1:01:26:10 and you are anywhere in the 1 hour range, just type 12610 and enter.

Hi, I’m also having this problem, but my num lock isn’t on and i don’t have I/O or anything else but V1 TC1 in the monitor. What’s also odd is that the time code entering thing works on other clips in the project, but won’t work for clips from this one specific interview.

Thanks in advance for any help!

Are you sure that clip has TC?

Also, what type of TC. For example. If you have V1 source TC selected, but the clip is audio only. Nothing will happen when you enter a number. You would need to select audio TC above the monitor.

The interview clip def has TC, and video as well as audio tracks (just for kicks I have both V1 TC1 as well as A1 TC1 above the source monitor, but typing in the TC still does not move the play head).

I’ve been having problems with the same thing. Mine worked when I switched from DF to non-DF time code. See if that works…

I’m having the same problem and none of these solutions worked. I am working in a 23.98 project and my source that’s giving me problems is 24. Could that be the problem?

Are you in a NTSC 23.976 project or 1080 23.976 project? And is your source 24.000 speed or are you referring to 24 timecode, as both 23.976 and 24.000 use 24 frame timecode.

I’m in 1080 23.98 project, but my source is true 24.000 speed. In addition, that’s my pic only, my tracks were brought in at 23.98 and if I put one of them in the upper window, then entering the timecode works. But with the pic in the upper window, it just sits there… staring at me…
