Help with No Frame Boundary
Hello!
I have a 10minute sequence with a TIMECODE effect on the top most video track. When I go to render that effect, it quits with no error message or pop up at around 40%.
If I try to export a QT Ref. and render effects it gives me the “exception: no_frame_boundary” pop-up error.
If I cut up the Timecode layer into chunks around 3 minutes each, it works without a problem.
I checked Avid’s knowledge base and the only solution I was able to find was to check that my drive’s file system is NTSC based, which it is.
Any insights?

Oops, NTFS not NTSC.

Sounds like a size of file issue. The reason to check your drive formatting is that FAT 32 drives can only hold files 4 gigs and under.
Are you positive it is NTFS and not FAT 32 which is also a PC format? If this is a firewire drive with the original formatting it probably is FAT 32.

It is indeed a firewire drive, a Lacie 2BigTriple to be precise. It was reformatted and unless Windows is lying to me, it is NTFS.
For now I have cut the Timecode effect into chunks. I had the same problem with a Submaster effect as well.

I am having the same issue here. I have a Project that I am trying to Video Mixdown. (1hr 47min)
Rendering to a LanShare Unity Drive so no question about Drive Format. I have routinely done large mixdowns like this before with no issue. There is plenty of drive space available.
I have already gone through and Rendered all the effects.
Mixing to OMFI 2:1Any further thoughts and discussion may be helpful. Thank you
