I, like may, have developed a runtime error problem. Mine may be a little different- I have not installed or changed anything- and the error only occurs in one project. Here’s my story:\

I have been working on this program for 3 days. All went well until recently when I received this error. It occurred when I was dropping a transition effect on to an edit point. (A saved one I have been using successfully for 2 days):

    Runtime Error!

    Program: C\Program Files\Avid\AvidXpressPro\AvidXpressPro.exe

The application has requested the Runtime to terminate it in an unusual way. Please contact the application’s support team for more information.

When I click okay, the error message disappears for a moment, the re-appears. Clicking okay the second time closes the application. Here is what I have done trouble-shooting wise so far: If I open a different project, all is well. Everything works. I have opened several other current projects and they all function properly. I have closed and re-opened the Avid software several times. I have restarted the computer. I have completely shut down the computer. I have turned off the power to everything, waited a while, and started over. I get the same error message every time I open this one project only. I tried duplicating the sequence (which is in its own bin) but it crashes before I can do so.

I am going to pretend for the moment that It knows that it is Friday afternoon, and if I shut down for the weekend all will be well when I return Tuesday. However, if that turns out to be not the case, I present this dilemma for your always valuable opinions/suggestions.

Avid Xpress Pro Mojo, Windows XP 2002.
